Jesus Comforts His Disciples. 14 John fourteen book not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God []; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

The Gospel of John fourteen book is probably the book that has been written last of all the books of the Bible. The contents and the structure of this Gospel presuppose the reader's familiarity with the three synoptic gospels.

According to tradition this very special Gospel was written at the very end of the first century AD. Subject and purpose of writing. John 14 is the fourteenth chapter of the Gospel of John in the New Testament of the Christian continues Jesus' discussions with His disciples in anticipation of His death and records the promised gift of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus speaks individually with Thomas, Philip and Judas (not the Iscariot). The book containing this chapter is anonymous, but early Christian tradition uniformly. 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth.

The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be # Some early manuscripts and is in you.

18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — 17 the Spirit of truth.

John "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." Chapter 14 of John and chapter 1 of John are my two favorite chapters in the entire Bible. Chapter 1 lets us know beyond a shadow of a doubt who we are following. Chapter 14 brings hope of everlasting life and promises of a better life here while we are preparing.

The greater work described in John is impossible without the empowering described in John d. That He may abide with you forever: Jesus would give the Holy Spirit so that He (indicating a person, not a thing) may abide in us permanently and not temporarily, as in giving of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament.

John ,17 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth John And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
